In 1990, Lee Shahin opened European Wholesale Parts at 938 West Evelyn Avenue in Sunnyvale, California. The business began with a single service bay and a straightforward idea: understand the vehicle, identify the correct part and treat the customer honestly.
The shop specialized in European automobiles, particularly Mercedes-Benz and BMW. As customers and neighboring repair businesses learned that Lee could diagnose difficult problems and locate the right components, the operation expanded from its original bay into four working garage bays.
What began as a hands-on repair shop gradually became something larger. Customers were not only bringing cars in for service; independent shops and body shops were calling European Wholesale Parts for dependable parts sourcing and technical knowledge.
From One Bay to an Online Resource
1990 — The first bay
Lee opens European Wholesale Parts in Sunnyvale as a European automotive repair and parts shop.
The shop grows
Demand expands the operation from one service bay to four, serving European-car owners, body shops and independent repair facilities.
Lee and Laurie build the business
Laurie joins Lee in managing the office, billing and customer accounts as the operation adds salespeople and local parts-delivery vehicles.
2004 — A new chapter
After the Sunnyvale shop closes, Lee and Laurie relocate to Colfax. Lee increasingly focuses on parts distribution and supplying other repair businesses.

The business has evolved into an online product-discovery and buying-guidance resource for European vehicle owners and independent shops across the United States.

Lee Shahin founded European Wholesale Parts in 1990 after building his experience with European automobiles and parts. He came to the parts business from the shop floor, where correct identification, fitment and specifications were practical necessities—not abstract catalog details.
As the Sunnyvale operation grew, Lee became a trusted resource not only for vehicle owners but also for independent repair shops and body shops that needed difficult-to-find European components. His later work concentrated increasingly on the parts side of the trade, particularly Mercedes-Benz and BMW applications.
That experience now guides European Wholesale Parts online. Lee contributes the practical perspective behind the site’s product and specification content: identify the exact vehicle, distinguish meaningful product differences and never treat a similar-looking part as automatically interchangeable.
Laurie Shahin
Office and Customer Account Management
Laurie Shahin joined European Wholesale Parts as the original shop began to grow. While Lee concentrated on the vehicles, technical questions and parts sourcing, Laurie managed the business side of the operation.
She handled billing, customer accounts and day-to-day coordination as the company expanded from a one-person shop into a multi-bay business with salespeople and parts-delivery vehicles. Whether the customer was an independent repair facility, a body shop or an individual owner, Laurie helped ensure that orders and accounts were handled with care.
Today, that same customer-first approach remains part of European Wholesale Parts: clear information, responsive assistance and respect for the person trying to get the correct part for the job.
European Wholesale Parts Today
European Wholesale Parts is now an online parts-discovery and buying-guidance publication for European vehicles. The format has changed, but the purpose has not: help owners and independent shops understand what they need and locate the correct product.
The site publishes vehicle-specific guides, product comparisons and retailer options covering BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, MINI, Volvo and other European marques. Product identity, manufacturer part numbers, meaningful variants and package contents are checked before offers are presented.
European Wholesale Parts currently provides editorial guidance and affiliate links. Purchases, shipping, warranties and returns are handled by the individual retailers.
